Ingredients
  

  • 4 pita breads
  • 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup diced cucumber
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
  • ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ cup tzatziki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil optional
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley or dill
  • Lemon wedges for serving (optional)

Method
 

  1. Warm the pita bread in a skillet, oven, or microwave until soft and pliable.
  2. Spread a generous layer of tzatziki inside each pita.
  3. Fill each pita with the lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, and red onion.
  4. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the vegetables.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley or dill and drizzle with olive oil if using.
  6. Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side, if desired.

Notes

  • Pat the vegetables dry before assembling to prevent soggy pita.
  • Warm pita bread is easier to fold and tastes better.
  • Assemble just before serving for the freshest texture.
  • Add chickpeas or falafel for extra protein.
