  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup fresh parsley packed
  • ¼ cup fresh basil packed
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives chopped
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Optional
  • 1-3 tablespoons water milk, or buttermilk (to thin into a dressing)
  • Fresh herbs for garnish
  • Freshly cracked black pepper

Method

  1. Add the Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, parsley, basil, chives, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to a food processor or blender.
  2. Blend until the herbs are finely chopped and the dip is smooth and creamy.
  3. Scrape down the sides of the bowl and blend again if needed.
  4. Taste and adjust with additional lemon juice, salt, or pepper.
  5. If making a dressing, blend in 1-3 tablespoons of water, milk, or buttermilk until you reach your desired consistency.
  6. Transfer to a serving bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving for the best flavor.

Notes

  • Fresh herbs produce the brightest flavor and color.
  • Chill before serving to allow the flavors to develop.
  • For a lighter version, replace the mayonnaise with additional Greek yogurt.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
